100vw, 960px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Un total de 15 alumnos de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Arte de la Universidad del Desarrollo viajaron hasta la ciudad de Chicago, Estados Unidos, para realizar el Workshop \u00abA wooden Mies\u00bb, vinculado al Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) College of Architecture. El fin de esta actividad era comprender la obra del arquitecto Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, para luego proponer un edificio en altura con estructura de madera, trabajo que fue evaluado por profesores de la instituci\u00f3n norteamericana.<\/p>\n<p>Los profesores de la UDD Karen Ulriksen, Carolina Flores, Miguel Nazar, Tom\u00e1s Swett y Pablo L\u00f3pez estuvieron a cargo de la ideaci\u00f3n, coordinaci\u00f3n del viaje y de la actividad acad\u00e9mica. \u201cUna ventaja fundamental de un viaje de este tipo -en el cual los alumnos deb\u00edan presentar una propuesta de arquitectura desarrollada en equipos-, es que deben recorrer, observar la ciudad y sus distintas din\u00e1micas en forma activa. De esta manera se logr\u00f3 una apreciaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s completa de la arquitectura y condiciones urbanas de esta gran ciudad, que en su historia ha sido un paradigma de la formulaci\u00f3n de edificios en altura\u201d, coment\u00f3 L\u00f3pez.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Una de las actividades acad\u00e9micas en las que participaron los alumnos de la UDD fue la charla de Patrick Safarik, director del Consejo de Edificios en Altura y H\u00e1bitat Urbano, sobre los nuevos avances en estructuras de madera en altura. 100vw, 960px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Un total de 15 alumnos de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Arte de la Universidad del Desarrollo viajaron hasta la ciudad de Chicago, Estados Unidos, para realizar el Workshop \u00abA wooden Mies\u00bb, vinculado al Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) College of Architecture. El fin de esta actividad era comprender la obra del arquitecto Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, para luego proponer un edificio en altura con estructura de madera, trabajo que fue evaluado por profesores de la instituci\u00f3n norteamericana.<\/p>\n<p>Los profesores de la UDD Karen Ulriksen, Carolina Flores, Miguel Nazar, Tom\u00e1s Swett y Pablo L\u00f3pez estuvieron a cargo de la ideaci\u00f3n, coordinaci\u00f3n del viaje y de la actividad acad\u00e9mica. \u201cUna ventaja fundamental de un viaje de este tipo -en el cual los alumnos deb\u00edan presentar una propuesta de arquitectura desarrollada en equipos-, es que deben recorrer, observar la ciudad y sus distintas din\u00e1micas en forma activa. De esta manera se logr\u00f3 una apreciaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s completa de la arquitectura y condiciones urbanas de esta gran ciudad, que en su historia ha sido un paradigma de la formulaci\u00f3n de edificios en altura\u201d, coment\u00f3 L\u00f3pez.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Una de las actividades acad\u00e9micas en las que participaron los alumnos de la UDD fue la charla de Patrick Safarik, director del Consejo de Edificios en Altura y H\u00e1bitat Urbano, sobre los nuevos avances en estructuras de madera en altura.
