La gira de\u00a0<strong>Nile<\/strong> presentando su nuevo trabajo deber\u00eda haber pasado por nuestras salas hace tiempo, pero como en muchos otros casos, tuvo que ser aplazada. Pero por fin llegaba el d\u00eda. Acompa\u00f1ados de <strong>Krisiun<\/strong>, uno de mis grupos fetiche desde que los vi abriendo para\u00a0<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scienceofnoise.net\/kataklysm-unconquered\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Kataklysm<\/strong><\/a> hace ya bastante, los de\u00a0<strong>Karl Sanders<\/strong> se dispon\u00edan a arrasar con todo.<\/p>\n<p>Las bandas invitadas,\u00a0<strong>In Element<\/strong> y\u00a0<strong>Eternal Psycho<\/strong>, no encajaban mucho con los cabezas de cartel en cuanto a estilo, y hubo m\u00e1s de una sorpresa amarga, pero empecemos por el principio.<\/p>\n<h3>Eternal Psycho<\/h3>\n<p>El grupo madrile\u00f1o abr\u00eda algunas fechas de esta gira, y aunque seguramente se podr\u00eda haber elegido alguna banda m\u00e1s acorde, no lo hicieron nada mal. Mezclan las voces mel\u00f3dicas de\u00a0<strong>Beka<\/strong> con los guturales del tambi\u00e9n guitarrista\u00a0<strong>Lucky<\/strong>, y en general suenan s\u00f3lidos y profesionales. Para ser la primera banda de la noche, consiguieron animar suficientemente al p\u00fablico, que a\u00fan estando algo fr\u00edo, parec\u00eda entretenido.<\/p>\n<p>No tengo dudas de que en otro cartel no tendr\u00edan problemas para hacer un gran concierto, pero en una noche como esta, pasaron un poco sin pena ni gloria. Pocos conciertos recuerdo que me defraudaran tanto como el que\u00a0<strong>In Element<\/strong> dieron a continuaci\u00f3n. Con diferentes m\u00e1scaras, sal\u00edan a escena los cuatro integrantes y empezaban con su mezcla de <em>death metal\u00a0<\/em>mel\u00f3dico con\u00a0<em>metalcore<\/em>,\u00a0<em>deathcore\u00a0<\/em>y toques de electr\u00f3nica.<\/p>\n<p>Mira que es dif\u00edcil que un concierto no me guste, pero juzgando por los escasos aplausos y charloteo vario, qued\u00f3 claro que no estaba solo. El vocalista hac\u00eda unos guturales reguleros pero que a\u00fan se pod\u00edan salvar, porque las partes limpias sonaron desafinadas y d\u00e9biles. En las grabaciones se notan varios efectos en las voces, y ahora ya sab\u00edamos el motivo. Por si no fuera poco, parece que el pobre estaba af\u00f3nico, y encima entre canciones te ven\u00eda con filosof\u00eda de baratillo, extendi\u00e9ndose m\u00e1s de lo debido.<\/p>\n<p>El \u00fanico punto positivo que recuerdo era que su bater\u00eda es bastante bueno, pero claro, con los dos monstruos del instrumento que vinieron a continuaci\u00f3n, tambi\u00e9n pas\u00f3 desapercibido.<\/p>\n<h3>Krisiun<\/h3>\n<p>Ahora s\u00ed, era el turno de la m\u00e1quina de destrucci\u00f3n brasile\u00f1a. Los tres hermanos que conforman la alineaci\u00f3n de\u00a0<strong>Krisiun<\/strong> han ido afilando a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o ese\u00a0<em>death metal<\/em> de marca propia hasta convertirse en una aut\u00e9ntica apisonadora. Tuvieron un sonido muy decente, seguramente ayudados por llevar una sola guitarra, cosa que hace la mezcla m\u00e1s sencilla que en el caso de\u00a0<strong>Nile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Empezaban con \u00abKings of Killing\u00bb, la nueva \u00abSwords Into Flesh\u00bb, y la implacable \u00abCombustion Inferno\u00bb una actuaci\u00f3n apote\u00f3sica marcada por la bater\u00eda estratosf\u00e9rica de <strong>Max<\/strong> <strong>Kolesne<\/strong>. Esos\u00a0<em>blast-beats<\/em> son de lo mejorcito que he visto en la vida, en especial en la loqu\u00edsima \u00abScourge of the Enthroned\u00bb. Normalmente cuesta que estos ritmos fren\u00e9ticos suenen a un volumen adecuado en directo, ya que al ir tan r\u00e1pido se suele perder potencia en la caja y el bombo se lo come todo. Pero no fue el caso. Combina las pi\u00f1as que\u00a0<strong>Max<\/strong> met\u00eda con un buen t\u00e9cnico de sonido para obtener un sonido soberbio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Moyses<\/strong> nos deleit\u00f3 con sus solos de guitarra vertiginosos y un repertorio de\u00a0<em>riffs<\/em> contundentes y r\u00edtmicos. El bajo de\u00a0<strong>Alex\u00a0<\/strong>rellenaba suficiente para no necesitar una segunda guitarra y su voz sonaba igual de atronadora que en las grabaciones. El <em>frontman<\/em> agradec\u00eda la asistencia y el apoyo a la m\u00fasica en directo casi tras cada canci\u00f3n. La masacre empezaba de nuevo con la cuadrilla de <strong>Karl Sanders<\/strong> y su\u00a0<em>death metal<\/em> t\u00e9cnico ambientado en el antiguo Egipto. Cortes enrevesados y macabros como \u00abDefiling the Gates of Ishtar\u00bb o \u00abKafir!\u00bb se suced\u00edan ante la expectaci\u00f3n del p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n<p>El sonido no fue tan n\u00edtido como el que tuvieron\u00a0<strong>Krisiun<\/strong>, pero fue suficiente para disfrutar del caos controlado de los de Carolina. A\u00fan as\u00ed, con la multitud de detalles y sutilezas que se esconden entre los <em>riffs<\/em> fren\u00e9ticos y los solos alocados, se merecen una sala que les pueda hacer honor de verdad. Verlos en <em>Salamandra<\/em>, <em>La Nau\u00a0<\/em>o <em>Apolo<\/em> seguro que les habr\u00eda hecho m\u00e1s justicia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brian Kingsland<\/strong> no estuvo presente en esta gira, pero su sustituto lo hizo tan bien que parec\u00eda que estuviera en la banda desde hace a\u00f1os. <strong>Scott Eames <\/strong>llevaba la voz principal la mayor parte del tiempo, turn\u00e1ndose con\u00a0<strong>Sanders<\/strong> y ocasionalmente con el tambi\u00e9n nuevo bajista <strong>Julian David Guillen<\/strong>. Se desenvolvi\u00f3 con soltura, escupiendo unos guturales que rozaban lo porcino mientras machacaba las cuerdas de su guitarra.<\/p>\n<p>Tras los m\u00faltiples parches, uno de los mayores exponentes de la bater\u00eda extrema, el \u00fanico e irrepetible\u00a0<strong>George Kollias<\/strong>. Contaba con un grupo de fans que le observaban desde el acceso lateral a la pista, desde donde se puede ver la bater\u00eda desde detr\u00e1s. Por lo bueno que es el \u00e1lbum, no hubiera hecho da\u00f1o alg\u00fan tema m\u00e1s en su gira de presentaci\u00f3n, aunque ya hayan pasado varios a\u00f1os de sus salida. \u00abLashed to the Slave Stick\u00bb fue celebrada por la audiencia y seguidamente nos llevaron a\u00fan m\u00e1s atr\u00e1s, hasta su debut, con \u00abThe Howling of the Jinn\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Finalizaban con otro trallazo como es \u00abBlack Seeds of Vengeance\u00bb un concierto de c\u00e1tedra. Igual que hacen falta varias escuchas para apreciar de verdad sus discos, creo que pasa igual al verlos en directo, con una sola vez no da tiempo a absorber todo lo que nos proponen. Pero eso tiene f\u00e1cil arreglo.
